21 Henry
01 · OUR NAME

Australia has done this before.

We took our name from a suburban house called Nyrambla, located at 21 Henry Street in Ascot, Brisbane. In 1942 it became the headquarters of Central Bureau. In a hot tin garage behind it, young Australian women worked cipher machines on the signals that helped turn the war in the Pacific.

Australia has done this before. In a garage, on a shoestring, ahead of the world. It is part of the story of Australia's leading role in what became the Five Eyes, and of a time when sovereign capability gave the Commonwealth both control and security. We are helping to build that sovereign capability in the AI era.
